Blackberry Mat

My daughter made me a beautiful little Blackberry mat to sit my handset on while I'm at my laptop. No gadget should be without accessories!

She knitted/crocheted it in school, and it's really the perfect size.  Since I've graduated from the Curve to the Bold 2, I don't have any reason to leave the Berry on a smooth surface (Curves are spinnable, Bold 2s are not) and this gives me a natural spot to put it down so I am much less likely to misplace it.

New 9700

Yeah, so I got a new Blackberry 9700 the other day.  Last Wednesday evening, actually.  So it's been about a week.  Love the handset.  Bell service had some trouble porting me over from Telus-- Telus apparently was being recalcitrant about letting my number go-- and I was without network service until Friday morning.  I've also had the typical transitional woes; brilliantly syncing contacts with multiple email addresses so I have 3+ copies of EVERY one of 800+ contacts.  Ye cats.

Anyway, I'm most pleased with the camera.  I've run an 8300 Curve for several years, and when I took pictures of documents with that you could tell it was a document, but couldn't get even a faint idea of what the document actually said.  Really detracts from the point of sending a document through.  (Pictures of people were recognizable, but reading expressions was iffy.)  This new camera is 3.2 megapixels, compared to the 1.9 in the Curve.  So now I'm emailing receipts to my bookkeeper, contracts to my business partner, and irate letters to my repo man.  (That last one was a joke!  I made a funny!)
